Service Learning

I was really thinking that this last week was fairly uneventful because of our wacky testing schedule. It is hard for General ed. students to cope with change and for Special ed. Students it can be VERY difficult. Many of my students, especially those on the autism spectrum are routine oriented. When the routine is altered they do not like it and behaviors can ensue. I tried to keep our schedule as close to “normal” as I could, but was not able to do anything new with students regarding technology. However, we did have our Life Skill’s prom and graduation on Friday! So much fun! For this event we made a slide show using a new application.What application, you ask??  Why Animoto of course!I would add a link for the slide show but student names are included and I want to protect their privacy. If anyone in class wants to see it let me know and I will give you a private viewing. We used the template “paper array” added pictures and music. It was pretty easy and I would use it again. There are lots of templates for different occasions.
